Lake D'Arbonne is a large, cypress-filled lake in north Louisiana known for excellent bass and crappie fishing in a scenic woodland setting. The shallow, timber-rich lake provides classic Louisiana swamp fishing.

Largemouth bass inhabit the flooded timber and cypress stands throughout the lake, with spring and fall producing the best catches. Crappie fishing is outstanding during winter, when fish school around submerged structure and can be caught in large numbers.
