About Sebago Lake
Sebago Lake is Maine's second-largest and deepest lake, located just 30 miles northwest of Portland. The lake is the historic origin of the landlocked Atlantic salmon, which were first described here.
Landlocked salmon fishing is a spring and fall tradition, with ice-out in May triggering a legendary bite. Lake trout grow to impressive sizes in the cold depths, with fish over 20 pounds caught regularly. The warm-water fishery for smallmouth bass is excellent during summer. Multiple state and town ramps provide convenient access from the Portland area.
Nearest towns: Windham, Raymond, Standish, Naples
