About Chester River

The Chester River is the principal waterway of Maryland's upper Eastern Shore, flowing through Kent and Queen Anne's counties before emptying into the Chesapeake Bay near Rock Hall. This broad, scenic estuary is steeped in colonial history and Eastern Shore charm, with gracious waterfront towns, working farms reaching to the water's edge, and a fishing tradition that stretches back centuries.
