About Anderson Ranch Reservoir
Anderson Ranch Reservoir is a remote reservoir on the South Fork of the Boise River, offering outstanding fishing in a beautiful mountain setting at 4,196 feet elevation. The lake's isolation keeps fishing pressure relatively light.
Rainbow trout are the primary target, with fish regularly reaching 3-5 pounds in the cold, nutrient-rich water. Kokanee salmon provide excellent trolling from late spring through summer. Bull trout, a threatened species, are present and must be released. Two boat ramps provide access, with the Pine boat ramp being the most developed.
