Mosquito Lake is a 7,850-acre reservoir in Trumbull County that ranks among the top walleye and crappie lakes in northeast Ohio. The lake's broad, shallow basin with extensive weed beds and timber provides ideal habitat for a diverse warmwater fishery. Mosquito Creek State Park surrounds the reservoir and offers excellent public access.

The walleye fishery benefits from regular stocking by the Ohio Division of Wildlife, and anglers consistently catch quality fish trolling and jigging the main lake basin. Crappie fishing is exceptional, with big slabs holding in the standing timber along the north and east shores during spring. Musky are present thanks to stocking, and the lake produces fish over 40 inches for anglers willing to put in the time casting large baits.

Multiple launch ramps are available around the lake, with the state park facilities being the most popular. Mosquito Lake's proximity to Warren and Youngstown makes it a convenient destination for Mahoning Valley anglers, and the campground provides a base for multi-day fishing trips targeting the lake's walleye and crappie populations.
